James Taverner is our PGA Head Professional, leading coaching across the centre — from first-timers finding their swing to club golfers chasing consistency. Lessons combine clear, friendly instruction with the right practice plan, so every session makes a difference back on the course.
Work on your full swing, short game or course strategy on our floodlit range, then put it into play. Custom club fitting through TaylorMade is available too, so your equipment matches your swing.

How much are golf lessons at Exminster?
Individual and group lessons start from £50 per hour with PGA Head Professional James Taverner. The Wednesday Ladies Refresher is a friendly drop-in at just £8 including a drink and practice balls.
Do you teach complete beginners?
Yes — beginners are very welcome. We’ll start with the fundamentals on the floodlit range and build towards your first nine holes at a pace that suits you.
