Centre Policies
Safe, welcoming and fair
Golf belongs to everyone. We’re committed to the safety, welfare and fair treatment of every member, visitor and member of staff.
Our commitment
Exminster Golf Centre is a friendly, inclusive place to play. We take our responsibilities seriously, and we want everyone who visits — whether you’re a member, a pay & play visitor, a junior or a guest — to feel safe, respected and welcome. This page summarises our key policies; the full documents are available on request from the office.
Safeguarding & welfare
We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. Everyone has the right to enjoy golf in a safe environment, free from harm, abuse and neglect. We follow recognised safeguarding good practice, and our staff and volunteers understand their responsibility to act on any concern.
If you ever have a welfare or safeguarding concern, please speak in confidence to our Club Welfare Officer or a senior member of the team — the contacts are listed below.
Equality, diversity & inclusion
Golf belongs to everyone, and we are committed to making our centre open and welcoming to all. We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of any of the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010 — age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
We aim to treat every member, visitor and member of staff fairly and with respect, and to remove unnecessary barriers so that more people can enjoy the game.
Disciplinary fairness
Where concerns about conduct arise, we deal with them fairly, consistently and proportionately. Anyone subject to a disciplinary process can expect to be treated with respect, to understand the concern raised, and to have a fair opportunity to respond before any decision is made.
